Sirloin tip roast does not actually come from the sirloin section of a cow. It comes from the round section directly to the rear of the sirloin section. It is a nice cut of beef that is tender enough to be an over roast or can be enjoyed as a marinated steak or kabob meat. Here is our favorite recipe at Grassland for a wonderful Sirloin roast for dinner:
Herbed Sirloin Tip Roast~
1 ¼ tsp. paprika
1 tbsp. sea salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. ground black pepper
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. cayenne powder
½ tsp. dried oregano
½ tsp. dried thyme
2 tbsp. olive oil
1-3lb. sirloin tip roast
- In a small bowl mix all dry ingredients. Add olive oil and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°; Rub all sides of roast with rub.
- Roast 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 145°. Remove from oven and let sit for 15 minutes. Slice thinly and enjoy!
